About the job

Medical assistants in the ambulatory care setting perform a combination of direct and indirect patient care tasks under supervision. The responsibilities include supporting care plans, facilitating communication, and completing designated activities as part of the healthcare team, in accordance with delegated authority and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as delegated by physicians or RNs
• Assist with patient/family care needs
• Complete activities according to established care plans
• Use electronic medical records for documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduation from a medical assistant program
• Active CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• Prior MA experience preferred
