This role focuses on overseeing and executing nurse consultant duties in multiple healthcare facilities to ensure compliance and optimal quality of service. You will work closely with various facility and pharmacy staff to promote regulatory compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee completion of medication pass audits and cart/room audits.
- Provide education and in-service training to staff.
- Compile and submit reports to facility and pharmacy staff.
- Respond to emails and phone inquiries promptly.
- Participate in development and implementation of improvement plans.
- Facilitate effective problem resolution regarding consultant services.
Qualifications
- LPN or RN licensure in the state of employment.
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or institutional nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with basic office technology; MS Excel and Word preferred.
- Ability to work independently, travel, and work extended hours as needed.
