About the job
NHS Management seeks an experienced Regional Case Manager / MDS Consultant (RN) to oversee skilled nursing facilities in Central Alabama, including Birmingham. You will coordinate the MDS and Medicare assessment process, support compliance, and collaborate with facility and therapy teams to achieve quality and reimbursement goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MDS and Medicare assessment across facilities
- Conduct audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support Medicare case management for high-risk residents
- Train facility staff on coverage, documentation, and best practices
- Review and present findings to leadership
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2+ years long-term care and 1+ year MDS experience
- Proficient in computer and MDS software
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Willingness for extensive travel
