About the job
The RN Wound Care/Treatment Nurse is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and prevention of skin disorders in residents. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing, providing direct wound care and leading educational activities for staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct direct wound care and skin assessments
- Coordinate weekly skin rounds and care planning
- Educate staff and new nurses on treatment procedures
- Monitor use of preventive measures for residents
- Manage supply usage and documentation
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Alabama
- Experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred
- Wound care certification preferred (will certify the right candidate)
