Shift Supervisor - RN

About the job

This position is at Civic Center Health and Rehabilitation, focusing on providing a supportive environment for long-term care and rehabilitation residents. As an RN Weekend Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high standards of patient care throughout the weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct nursing staff, developing their skills and ensuring quality patient care
• Liaise between residents, families, and staff to maintain effective communication
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
• Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and documentation
• Receive and communicate physicians' instructions for resident care
• Oversee and evaluate patient care through regular rounds

Qualifications

• Current RN license (State of AL)
• At least two years of nursing experience, one year in a supervisory capacity preferred
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
• Strong clerical and organizational abilities
• Capable of leading departments and coordinating across teams
